Santa Cruz Highlands & Tortuga Bay Itinerary
You will take a small road 2,500 meters long up to the access to Tortuga Bay. Enjoy a 2-hour hike (both ways) up to this beautiful beach, which is well preserved, and where you can see wildlife such as iguanas, and beach crabs. You can swim in the mangrove that is separated from the beach. Kayak is optional. Tortuga Bay is a white sand beach located on the south coast of the island of Santa Cruz. After lunch, you will visit the highlands of Santa Cruz, which is the most visited area in the Galapagos. This area concentrates vast extensions of Escalesia, Miconia forests, and Giant Tortoises This is a great place to observe these iconic animals in their natural habitat.
