When you make a reservation for a tour with Latin Adventures, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions. We kindly ask that you carefully review this information before proceeding:
General Terms:
- By making a tour reservation with us through e-mail, telephone, WhatsApp, electronically (online), or in person, you are acknowledging your acceptance of our General Terms and Conditions. Your booking will be considered accepted by us based on these terms.
- These terms apply to all services provided by us, including excursion organization and guiding, except where tour guiding is provided by third-party providers.
- While Latin Adventures acts as an agent for activities provided by third-party providers, such activities are conducted under the name and according to the terms and conditions of those providers.
- These General Terms and Conditions are an integral part of any individual contract, regardless of the medium through which the contract is finalized.
Reservation details:
- Upon receiving a Booking confirmation invoice, it is the Customer’s responsibility to verify the accuracy and completeness of the information provided. Any discrepancies should be promptly brought to our attention for rectification.
- Should the information provided by the Customer be found to be inaccurate or incomplete, Latin Adventures reserves the right to exclude the Customer from participation or services provided by third-party providers. In such instances, the Customer may be subject to cancellation fees as outlined in our Cancellation Policies.
Travel Documents
All passengers must have a passport valid for a minimum of 6 months beyond the travel date. Additionally, passengers must possess a valid visa where applicable. It is the responsibility of each passenger to verify visa requirements with the relevant consulates and obtain necessary travel documents before the trip. Visa fees are not included in the tour packages.
Insurance Requirement:
Every traveler is required to ensure they have adequate insurance coverage for personal accidents and medical expenses throughout their trip to Ecuador. This includes obtaining travel insurance covering trip cancellation and baggage loss to safeguard your travel investment.

Confidentiality of Information:
- Any information you provide to us for tour bookings will be treated confidentially.
- You agree that we may utilize and reproduce any images, photos, or videos that you provide or are taken by our guides or fellow travelers, either individually or in a group, across various mediums, including print, electronic media, or the Internet, without charge and your right to inspection. This usage is for promotional and publicity purposes worldwide.
Requirements during the tour/ disclaimer of liability:
- When booking, you must confirm that you are in good health and physically capable of participating in all aspects of the tour as described in the tour description. Considering its challenges and objectives, you should also confirm that you are not aware of any reason why you may be unsuited for participation or likely to suffer illness or injury during the tour.
- If you cannot provide this confirmation for any reason, or if you have any medical condition or disability that may impact your ability to participate in the tour, you must contact us before submitting your application form. We will assist you in evaluating the suitability of the tour for your circumstances.
Your additional responsibilities encompass various aspects, including, but not limited to:
- Strict adherence to all local laws.
- Respect for customs and culture of the destination.
- Assessment of your abilities to partake in tour activities.
- Respect for the privacy of fellow tour members.
- Following the suggestions and advice provided by the guide on guided tours.
During guided tours, the decisions made by the local guide or supplier are final in situations that may jeopardize the safety or well-being of the group or individual travelers.
Throughout the tour, we reserve the right to remove any participant:
- a) If deemed incapable of meeting the demands of the tour activities.
- b) If their conduct detracts from the enjoyment of others on the tour.
You agree to treat all individuals encountered during the tour, including fellow participants and residents, with respect and consideration.
- Participation in our tours involves inherent risks, and by joining our tours, you are acknowledging and accepting these risks. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you are releasing us, along with our officers and employees, from any liability, claims, losses, damages, or expenses arising from any event, including but not limited to personal injury or death, loss or damage of property, acts deemed as negligent or accidental, or any other form of loss, damage, suffering, or physical or emotional disorder
- Latin Adventures, acting as an agent for the companies it represents, assumes no liability for accidents, damage, baggage losses, or delays resulting from various factors such as strikes, weather conditions, government actions, wars, criminal acts by third parties, civil disturbances, vehicle defects, or breakdowns, or the fault of any company involved in conducting the tours. Latin Adventures is also not responsible for damages resulting directly or indirectly from flight delays, cancellations, or changes.
- If necessary for passenger comfort or well-being, or any other reason, the itinerary or arrangements may be altered without penalty to Latin Adventures. Any additional expenses incurred will be the responsibility of the passengers, and no refunds will be provided for missed parts of the tour.
Itinerary Disclaimer:
- While we aim to adhere to the itinerary as described, our travel style may require occasional minor adjustments. Factors such as weather conditions and unforeseen local circumstances may necessitate changes to the route or travel timings. Latin Adventures cannot be held responsible for unexpected political situations that may impact confirmed itineraries, but we will make every effort to fulfill the service contract during client travel.
- Please note that hotel and flight schedules are subject to change based on availability.
- Mention of specific wildlife in the itinerary does not guarantee sightings during the trip.
- Latin Adventures reserves the right to modify trip arrangements, including flights, transportation, hotels, or other services. While such changes are typically minor, we will notify you or your travel agent before departure if significant adjustments are required.
Transportation and Accommodation:
- Latin Adventures reserves the right to replace hotels with others of a similar or superior category due to unforeseen operational needs.
- The majority of our accommodations are based on double occupancy. Should you require single accommodation, please inquire about the applicable supplement cost, which varies depending on your trip.
- Itinerary and Domestic Transportation: Domestic transportation and flights are solely determined by local land operators and are subject to change without prior notice.
- Children up to 11 years and 11 months old are considered as such.
- Latin Adventures is not responsible for delays or missed international flights. The tour will continue depending on the arrival itinerary of the passengers at the destination where the services with us begin. If there is a flight delay, whether the flight was booked by Latin Adventures or by yourself, we will make effort to adjust your itinerary. However, please note that changes and penalties may apply, and it is the responsibility of the guest to cover these penalties.
Additional Services or Short Extensions (Less than 4 Days):
- Extra services such as additional nights, transfers, day tours, flights, as well as extensions of less than 4 days, require full payment of 100% upon invoice issuance. Please note that standard Payment Policies do not apply in this case.
- For purchases made one day before the service date, please first ask us for availability, and an immediate payment of 100% is required. Standard terms and conditions do not apply in this scenario.
- Confirmation of extra services will only be provided upon receipt of full payment by Latin Adventures.
Payment methods:
Latin Adventures provides multiple payment methods, including USA bank account, PayPal, and credit card.
- Transactions made through the USA bank account are subject to a $45 fee per transaction.
- For PayPal payments, an additional charge of 6% of the total transaction amount applies.
- Payments made via credit card using our payment platform will incur a fee of the total amount depending on the amount of your payment (you can check it at the moment of payment).
Cancellations or Alterations:
Cancellations made after payment are subject to a 100% forfeiture of the payment amount. This policy applies to all trips, including those with special discounts, trips booked with special offers, reservations including our special products, and cases of no-shows.
Important note: Latin Adventures policy will not apply to our special products due to their cancellation policies.
In the event of force majeure events such as global pandemics, political unrest in the country, adverse weather conditions, natural disasters, and other unforeseeable circumstances:
- We offer a free change of name option, which will be available until 60 days before departure, except for flights (please inquire about any penalties with your agent).
- Please note that we cannot accept liability or provide compensation when the performance of our obligations is hindered or affected by unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances. These circumstances are beyond our control and could not have been avoided even with all reasonable measures taken. Examples of such situations may include but are not limited to, war, civil unrest, terrorist activities, industrial disputes, natural or nuclear disasters, adverse weather conditions, epidemics, pandemics, fires, closure or restrictions on air space, airports, or ports, and operational bans on carriers scheduled to operate your flights.
- Any requested changes to the itinerary or services by the client, whether before or during the trip, are subject to availability and will incur 100% cancellation penalties for existing services.
- Change of date for a future trip under similar conditions is possible depending on availability, with a charge per person.
- Exiting the trip at any time after arrival will result in 100% cancellation fees.
Cancellation by Latin Adventures:
- Latin Adventures is responsible for refunding the tour price only if no alternative tour is provided.
- If the tour is prematurely terminated due to Latin Adventures‘ fault, the Customer will receive a refund for the missed days based on a percentage of the canceled days. However, no refunds will be issued for other expenses associated with the trip, such as airfares or unused vacation days.
Other provisions:
- If any provision of these General Terms and Conditions is deemed unenforceable or invalid under applicable law, such unenforceability or invalidity shall not affect the enforceability or validity of the Agreement as a whole.
- The unenforceable provision will be replaced with a valid and enforceable one that achieves, to the extent possible, the original objectives and intent of the provision.
