Day 02: Mitad del Mundo & Horseback ride Above the City / B
Breakfast in the hotel. The excursion starts from your hotel in Quito. Fifty minutes from the northwest of Quito, you ́ll find this amazing “Middle of the World” experience. You'll visit the current equatorial line which straddles the two hemispheres. Participate in several experiments at the Intiñan Museum. In the Middle of the World City complex, you will be able to visit a fascinating ethnographical museum that gives a great overview of the many distinct cultures of this small country. The excursion starts from your hotel in Quito. Take in the amazing sights of Quito and the ring of volcanoes that surround the city on this half-day guided tour. First, climb aboard a cable car and climb above the Ecuadorian city. Next, explore the Pichincha volcano on horseback to a height of 15,000 feet (4,600 meters) and enjoy views of snow-capped volcanic peaks and the Andean landscape that surrounds the capital of Ecuador. Day 03: Museums Tour & Chapel of the Men / B
Breakfast in the hotel. Your guide will pick you up in the morning from your hotel in Quito to begin your tour of the city. After walking through the colonial streets, your guide will take you to the most incredible museum that Quito have. Visit Museo de la Ciudad, Contemporaneous Art Museum, Museo Mena Camano, and of course, the Museum of the Chapel of the Men. This museum was created as a tribute to humanity, the artwork on display shows the historical suffering and struggle of the indigenous population of Latin America.
